Hello everyone!

I'm very pleased and excited to have been awarded a commission from Camberwell Arts, to decorate the Christmas Tree at the new Library in Camberwell.

Working with Rubbish Artist as Trash Twins, we have decorated a traditional Xmas tree using incredibly beautiful and eye catching decorations crafted from recycled materials and "rubbish".

But we need your help!

We need to make a fairy for the top of the tree.

Tomorrow, December 12th,2015 between 2 and 4pm, bring your recycling and your precious rubbish to Camberwell Library at 48 Camberwell Green SE5 7AL...

We will be there to show you how to transform it into a unique Christmas sculpture for the top of the tree, or make something to decorate your own tree at home.

And on Sunday - December 13th - from 2-5pm I will be at Union Chapel's Christmas Fair. I'll be helping you to make cards and decorations, singing with the Union Chapel Singers, watching The Snowman on the big screen, and drinking mulled wine.

I hope to see you! Wishing you the very best of Christmas cheer and a super fun New Year.
With love and best wishes - Joanna

Hello everyone!

Are you looking for something to do this Friday evening - June 26th? Well look no further...

Artist Rebecca Feiner has curated DEN-City as part of The London Festival of Architecture, and I'll be delivering The White House, a live art piece, at the opening party from 6pm. As recommended by Time Out:
This will be my last live art piece for a while, because I've decided to spend some focussed time on my painting practice. So don't miss it!

Also, it's your last chance to see Cake Smash3 in the window at artist Daniel Lehan's Kitchen Window Gallery:

Hello!

Here are some photos of the artwork that I created as part of my Westminster Arts residency at The Butterworth Centre, back in 2011.
Over the course of the residency, which lasted for six months, I developed a strong creative relationship with residents, and worked on several  artworks that were placed throughout the home.
These were wall mounted collage pieces, made from original drawings and paintings and repeated copies, produced in collaboration with residents.
The drawings and copies were laminated and the collage created directly onto the walls. The resulting artworks were a permanent resource for residents, carers and relatives to enjoy.
The photographs below were taken by artist Hester Jones.

Best wishes - Joanna
