Wednesday 3 June 2020

Hello everyone!

I hope you're keeping safe and well.

If you want to fill your time with art, and learn something new, during these strange and unsettling times, I'm running two independent summer courses on Zoom:

Watercolour Summer Days is taking place on two consecutive Fridays in July (24th and 31st), and Exploring Creativity will be happening on Tuesdays 10am - 1pm, for 10 weeks, starting on June 16th.

The Exploring Creativity classes are a mixture of art history, discussion and practical art making, while the Watercolour Summer Days are purely practical.

I'm offering them as "pay what you can" classes.

The maximum cost is £75 per day for the Summer Watercolour Days, while Exploring Creativity is £20 per class, or £200 for 10 weeks.

Please do pay whatever you can afford - I'd hate for anyone to have to miss out due to financial constraints.

Feel free to drop in and out of the classes - you can attend as many or as few as you like.

If you're interested please get in touch ASAP, so that you'll have time to purchase the art materials you'll need.

For more information and a timetable please email me at: vox@joart.info

I'm also very happy to be involved in the National Maritime Museum's celebration of World Oceans Day at Royal Museums Greenwich this year - a day dedicated to celebrating the fragile ecosystem and wildlife diversity of the magical sea life in our beautiful oceans! This year it's taking place online, on Monday June 8th.

Go here to see my contribution, and watch how to make a semi abstract watercolour painting depicting the sound, movement and colour of a krill swimming through the Southern Ocean:

And if you missed my portrait drawing tutorial for Wave Cafe, I'll be doing it again for Union Chapel, join us on Zoom next Wednesday June 10th, at 11am!
