Dear everyone,

I hope you're enjoying the beautiful weather!

If you are free tomorrow or Friday, why not pop along to Wave Cafe's open days at The Birchwood Centre in Muswell Hill, at the Birchwood Centre, 171 Fortis Green Road, where on Thursday morning I'll be helping you make lovely picture postcards using acrylic painting techniques:

Here's Ben, Wave's Creative Director, with sculptures created by participants at one of their weekly Thursday evening sessions.
Wave run a great variety of Thursday workshops.
This one was delivered earlier this month by Rubbish Artist and me, working together as Trash Twins.

Find out more about Wave Cafe here: https://www.wavecafe.org/

On Saturday I'll have a few small select pieces of art for sale at Caroline Gregory's Summer Art Sale, happening at AMP Gallery, in Peckham SE15:

My work will be there all day, but I won't be there until the evening, because during the day I'll be teaching my Super Art Saturday class for Adult Learning Lewisham.
This fun day will involve experimenting with lots of interesting practical exercises with pencil, charcoal, pastel and acrylic paint. A small number of places are still available. Go here to book:

If you like life drawing come along to the last Five Alive of the summer. It's happening upstairs in the bar at Union Chapel in Islington. With FIVE models all posing together, short poses, acrobatics and yoga, music, drinks from the bar, the okie kokie and a multi model 45 minute long pose, this is an evening not to be missed! The session is for the most part untutored, with one to one coaching from me during the long pose. There are a few tickets still available, so book quickly to secure your spot!

And on Monday and Tuesday 10am  - 4pm, I'll be running my Watercolour Advanced class at the Salvation Army Hall in Nunhead, SE15. Day one will focus on landscape watercolour, and on day two we'll explore abstraction.
No need to book, just drop in. You can pay by cash or card. Reply to this email for a list of art materials to bring.

And finally! Here are some pics from my Singing Mermaid live art installation for Oceans Day at Greenwich Maritime Museum:

With love and best wishes - Joanna
