Saturday 8 August 2020

 Hello everyone,

I'm very pleased to have been invited to take part in one of a series of mini festivals in Dulwich.

Starting last week, The Summer of Love Micro Festival at Dulwich Square is on today, August 8th, and continues every Saturday throughout August.

The festival comprises an hour of delightful performances every Saturday at 12 noon on Dulwich Square SE21.

The events have been organised by the friends of Dulwich Square. Located at the junction of Court Lane and Carlton Avenue, SE21.

The square was recently rescued, and transformed from a ghastly polluted junction into a gentile square.

To celebrate this, the friends have organised the Summer of Love Micro Festival. There will be delightful live performances taking place at the square every Saturday throughout August at noon, for an hour.

Highlights include a Ceilidh band on August 1st, a string quintet on August 8th, a Caribbean carnival costume demonstration on August 29th.

Local artists The Dulwich Darlings, present A Dodo, The Moon and some songs, on August 22nd.

Dulwich Darlings are Calum F. Kerr, Joanna McCormick and Alice Renouf:
Maurice The Dodo asks "Whose extinction is it anyway?" followed by a rare sighting of Moon Moon Sing Sing with her dreamlike intergalactic croons, and singer songwriter Alice Renouf, who will woo you with her reflective, melodic and delicious ditties.

The event is free, and social distancing will be observed throughout.
